Vlahovic discusses Milan links and reveals the gesture from Ibra that left him ‘impressed’

Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has revealed that he was left feeling impressed by the message Zlatan Ibrahimovic dedicated to him.

Vlahovic’s name is firmly in the headlines at the moment as he continues to impress for Fiorentina, having racked up 13 goals in Serie A. He has been repeatedly linked with a move to Milan, and those rumours were fuelled when the Serbia international posted a picture on his story showing he got a shirt from his ‘idol’ Ibrahimovic after the meeting last month. He signed it with the following: “Vlahovic! All the best.”

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanNews) reported recently that at the moment Vlahovic does not seem willing to consider renewing with Fiorentina despite the offer of his pay tripling, which has alerted both Roma and Milan.

Vlahovic spoke to La Repubblica and was asked about his future, with his words transcribed by MilanLive.

“I don’t like talking about the contract because we are not in a good position in the table. Commisso will do everything to bring the team up because he is ambitious. In the summer, let’s see , I’m open to any conversation with the club,” he said.

On receiving a shirt from Ibra, he said: “I was impressed by the dedication: ‘Good luck for everything, I wish you the best’. He wrote it in Serbian, my language. It was unique.”
