Watch: Brahim Diaz discusses start of the season, what has changed and Milan’s ambitions

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz has been one of the standout players for AC Milan this season, taking over the No.10 shirt and the starting spot of the role. He can still improve a lot and the Rossoneri are optimistic regarding the future.

The Spaniard has registered four goals and two assists in nine appearances this season (eight from start). It goes without saying, therefore, that he has been important for Milan.

In an interview with MilanTV, which you can read below or watch in the video, Diaz shared his thoughts on the start of the season, among other things.

On the start of the season…

“I’m satisfied, I have scored goals and provided assists, but what matters most is to do all this for the team, to help them and to get the three points. I’m satisfied with what I have done but above all for the team.”

The support of the fans…

“Incredible, incredible. I’m very happy to have scored at San Siro with all the fans. I’m really happy because the support they give me every day is incredible. The fans we have are incredible.”

What has changed since last year?

“I’m the same as last season, I just play more now. I’m very happy to play and also that the team has improved. Everyone supports me as always, from the coach to everyone else. They have faith in me, and the faith in the team is incredible too. I’m happy, I like playing football and that’s what I do: I play and enjoy playing.”

The goals…

“We have to fight for everything we can fight for. We want to play every three days and we need to win all the remaining games. My aim is to play well for Milan and get to the national team, and that’s what I’m doing: playing well, helping the team, and then being called up for Spain, which would be an honour. I’m grateful for the words of Luis Enrique and Mancini,” he stated.
