AC Milan doubled their advantage against Empoli just after the half-hour mark as Olivier Giroud converted a penalty kick that was awarded after a VAR check for handball.
In the 32nd minute, Milan were getting ready to take a corner after Loftus-Cheek’s attempted overhead kick deflected behind, but VAR spotted it had brushed the raised hand of Maleh and a penalty was awarded. Giroud took on the responsibility, and found the back of the net via the underside of the bar.

he is like a tree. if it wasn’t for the penalty, he wouldn’t have scored until easter.
Can anyone explain to me why Jovic is not playing from the start?
Really it’s rotation. Giroud didn’t play at all the last game. I would have still wanted to see Giroud subbed off at least.
Still, we do have a match against Atalanta and Jovic will probably play from the start there.
Jovic played full time against Cagliari and Giroud was fully rested. So this time Giroud played full time while Jovic rested for Atalanta which we will played mid week.
Jovic sitting out without getting a chance to play during Orthodox Christmas. Pioli out.
Chaka Traore showing Leao how it should be done. What a player we have here
Giroud was again ordinary today, Jovic should have been given at least 30 minutes
