Good news has arrived from France regarding Mike Maignan as a video showed that he has rejoined training ahead of their second friendly tomorrow night.
The 28-year-old arrived at the camp after a troubled week: first he suffered a strong impact to the knee during the Europa League win against Slavia Praha, then a possible muscular problem that occurred after a spectacular and unusual save he made at the end of the victory over Verona.
He missed the first friendly against Germany on Saturday as he observed a period of rest to avoid any kind of problem flaring up. However, he is now back in training and is predicted to start against Chile.
In a feature last night we analysed Maignan’s situation, from the injuries he has been getting to the renewal talks and the interest from some top clubs.

Why, why is he trying to injure himself?
Yeah I know, what a crazy idea to play football when you’re a football player it makes no sense
I never understood the need to risk your livelihood for NT football. You’re literally risking it all for nothing.
I don’t know where you’re from but in Europe it’s a great pride to wear the domestic colours and compete at the highest level in football, which is the World Cup. French players are national heroes when they win. As a Frenchman myself, I would rather have a big Mike for the Euro and enjoy national celebrations and after a triumph. Maybe we tend to forget but football is not only about business.
Quality of Euro or World cups will never match even the mediocre season of UCL. And a national pride thing… I am yet to see a nation deserving of its citizens pride. I’m sorry, I just don’t get it. I know its my problem alone and very few people feel this way, but it’s not something that’ll change for me any time soon.
@Bart Lol 😂😂😂 so true. If he can’t make that sort of save on a normal basis then he should just pack it up and retire. If that’s an action he has to actively avoid to prevent an injury, I suggest we move him on ASAP or rescind his contract or something.
