Watch: Milan fans furious as nasty stamp on Chukwueze is left unpunished

The refereeing in the game between AC Milan and Udinese left a lot to be desired, with Daniele Chiffi receiving heavy criticism from both sides. Among other things, a nasty stamp on Samuel Chukwueze was left unpunished.

The Rossoneri’s 1-0 win was fully deserved, but the game was filled with controversy as Tijjani Reijnders first received a questionable red card. And despite committing just three fouls, compared to Udinese’s 14, Milan received the same amount of cards (3).

One situation left the fans, as well as the Milan players, furious as Isaak Touré committed a clear stamp on Samuel Chukwueze. The stamp continued for a few good seconds as well, with the Niugerian understandably in great pain, but the referee didn’t even give a yellow card.

Despite the frustration that the officiating caused, Milan battled and deservedly clinched all three points. Udinese’s disallowed equaliser at the death may have only been a few centimetres offside, but the truth is that it would have been very lucky for the away side.

The next game is against Club Brugge in the Champions League and one can hope that the officiating will be better. On the other hand, it was far from good against Bayer Leverkusen…

  1. One thing is that a player by accident steps over another players feet another matter is when a player apparently by purpose stomps a player over his feet and then twists his foot afterwards, The fact that he didn’t even give a yellow card which wouldn’t even be sufficient made me absolutely furious.

When I played football I was pretty much a workhorse in the vein of Gattuso but with more playmaker style as I also produced a lot of goals and assists and I was pretty tough but nevertheless fair and would withdraw from tackles if I could see I would do harm. When the opposition wasn’t playing fair though then it was a different matter for me. Once in a match i played against a guy who by purpose kept stepping me over the toes in the middle of the winter up in Scandinavia where winters are pretty cold and after a couple of times after i had warned him and he just kept ignoring it I waited for the ref to be up in the other end of the field so I ran down behind the player and smacked my elbow with full force into his face so he went flat down on the field and then I just quickly ran up in the other end of the field so the ref didn’t spot me around where the foul had been committed. Almost ended up in a fight with the oppositions adult coach and the substitutes on the sideline.
Point here is don’t step over peoples feet by purpose as its freaking painful with the studs and Toure freaking deserved a smack to his face as well.

    1. EXACTLY! he could easily dislocate the toes, if the 2 rear studs were stamped hard into chukwueze’s feet and the studs were twisted. for me, he would have drawn first blood and i would find an intelligent way to inflict pain on him in return. It would not go unpunished.
There would be heavy bruising on chuk’s feet after the stomping. the foul is worth a card anytime.

      1. Yeah I can imagine its easy to get an injury that way. Unfortunately in this case not so easy to retaliate in a pro game.

After looking up the Udinese player I realized that Serie A has gotten a new tallest player in Toure, the fella is 2.06 m tall. Chukwueze on the other hand is 1.72 m tall. Completely manhandled him by that stomp.

  2. I made an upscaled 4K 120fps video of the segment where Lovric fell down in front of Reijnders and uploaded it to youtube. You can find the video by searching for the title:

“Lovric trips himself to get Reijnders red carded”.

  3. How about you show some dignity yourself and bugger off as you basically are trolling each time you show up on this website.

    1. You freaking clown I never sided with those degenerates who mistreated him in his last San Siro match and even have made it pretty clear here before. When that is said I think you meant boohed and not bowed as one word is jeering and the other showing an act of respect.

My name is a Danish name and what the hell does a name have to do with playing football but you know what when I played football I was the captain for my team.
When I thought you couldn’t come off as a dumber clown you take it to an even lower level and sounds like a confused kid. Way to argue boyo no content just consistent ramblings by you.

  4. The way the game was officiated they should have looked at this. I thought it was rash. The whole game we got manhandled and the ref didn’t make any calls. But still elated with the points. We pushed through

  5. Serie A refs hate Milan, in the recent scudetto winning season there were quite a few games where the officiating was primary school level and what just looked like blatant bias against Milan.
