Watch: Vranckx ‘very happy’ with Milan move and names his main qualities

By Isak Möller -

Aster Vranckx was officially announced by AC Milan on deadline day and he’s eager to start his adventure with the Rossoneri. In his first interview with the club, he made that very clear.

Negotiations with Wolfsburg proceeded quickly and Milan were able to reach an agreement on the basis of a paid loan with an option to buy. Stefano Pioli thus got his midfield reinforcement and that is indeed a bonus.

Speaking to MilanTV (see video below), Vranckx shared his thoughts on joining the club and what it means for him.

“First of all, I think it’s a big step in my career. I will try to give all my best for the club, hopefully become champions again. For me it means that there are no limits in life, that you just have to keep going for what you always dreamed about, and to never give up.

“I think I am a midfielder with a lot of running and strength, and I also have good feet. I think it’s also nice that there are other Belgian players, I know Alexis and Divock but not as good as Charles. I felt good immediately when I arrived here.

“When I think about Milan, I think about players like Ronaldinho and Kaka, these two are players that I really like. The league is tactic and with high quality, it made me even more excited to join the club.

“No.40, it’s the number I have had since I started and that’s why I chose it. I’m very happy to be here and I will give all my best for the club,” he stated.
