CorSera: What Pioli told the squad at Milanello after collapse against Roma

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan head coach Stefano Pioli addressed the team at Milanello yesterday after the two points thrown away against Roma, according to a report.

Milan put in an excellent performance for 85 minutes against Roma and were in the driving seat with a two-goal lead, but the game was ruined by two late set piece goals for the Giallorossi that saw Milan lose ground against Juventus and above all Napoli.

According to the reconstruction provided by Corriere della Sera (via SempreMilan.it), Stefano Pioli spoke to the team at Milanello yesterday to try and get them back in the right frame of mind.

He asked his players to ‘not make drama, not to look at the standings and to concentrate on the next matches’, with Torino next in the Coppa Italia tomorrow night at San Siro before a trip to face Lecce at the weekend and then of course the Supercoppa Italiana against Inter on January 18.
