Zlatan Ibrahimovic seemingly confirms LA Galaxy departure with humorous tweet

By Oliver Fisher -

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has effectively confirmed his departure from MLS side LA Galaxy via a statement from his official Twitter account.

MLS commissioner Don Garber caused a stir last week when he told ESPN FC on YouTube that the 38-year-old is ‘being recruited’ by Milan, with his contract at the Galaxy set to expire on December 31.

Nonetheless, TuttoMercatoWeb stated on Tuesday that there are no big clubs in Europe willing to convince Ibrahimovic to join on a free transfer in January, and as a result he was considering renewing his deal for another year in Los Angeles.

However, it appears that Zlatan’s adventure in the United States is over as he told fans to ‘go back to watch baseball’.

The Swede tweeted: “I came, I saw, I conquered. Thank you @LAGalaxy for making me feel alive again. To the Galaxy fans – you wanted Zlatan, I gave you Zlatan. You are welcome. The story continues…Now go back to watch baseball”

Our mercato expert Vito Angele revealed that Milan have held talks with the striker – along with Bologna and Napoli – while La Gazzetta dello Sport also stated on Wednesday that Milan are in the hunt.
