Aster Vranckx came off the bench for AC Milan this evening and it ended up being a crucial entrance as he sent in the cross for Fiorentina’s own-goal. The player himself was very happy with the performance.

With 15 minutes plus stoppages left to play, Stefano Pioli decided to replace the rather bleak Rade Krunic with Vranckx. The youngster immediately showed off his abilities in tight spaces and eventually got the goal-winning assist.

Speaking to MilanTV, as cited by MilanNews, Vranckx stated that he’s very happy with the goal and also provided an update on his progress in training. Pioli has always had words of praise for him and today we saw why.

A great victory…

“I’m very happy, we had difficulties but I’m really happy with the goal.”

How is it going at Milanello?

“I’m training and learning a lot, I want to learn even more.”

On the break…

“We have a moment’s break, there will be a little vacation and then I’ll continue training so as to not lose shape.”

On Pioli…

“I’m doing well in training, he’s happy with me and I have to continue like this.”

In our player ratings, Vranckx was rated among the best at 6.5/10. Along with Sergino Dest, who got the same rating, he really changed the game for Milan by adding much-needed energy and also quality.
