Abraham reveals he barely slept ahead of Juventus-Milan: “I was sick”

Tammy Abraham played a part in AC Milan’s 2-1 win against Juventus last night, coming off the bench in the second half. However, after the game, he revealed that he could have missed the whole thing due to illness.

The Englishman came off the bench in the 61st minute, replacing Alex Jimenez, and added some much-needed energy to the affair. In our player ratings, he received the highest score handed out on the night (7/10) and he can thus be pleased with his impact.

Speaking to MilanTV after the game, as transcribed by MilanNews, Abraham revealed that he could have missed the clash due to illness. Despite not getting the sleep he needed, though, he powered through and made a difference for his side.

On his impact…

“For my teammates, for this team, I would do anything. I want to win, I’m a winner. Last night I didn’t get any sleep because I was sick, but today I was feeling better. The most important thing is we got the win.”

What did Conceicao tell you at half-time?

“He just told me to bring energy, he knows how much energy I can bring and how much I want to win. I think I played a good game but the work is not finished, an important final is on the cards.”

It remains to be seen what the starting XI will look like against Inter on Monday evening. We should remember that Milan played with both Abraham and Morata from start in the 2-1 win against the Nerazzurri earlier in the season.

  1. Take him back to Roma after the season please and get a real tank upfront. Gyökeres would be perfect but we will never pay what Sporting wants and never pay him a high salary.

    So we need better scouting.

    1. You don’t even know what a tank is or what it does, do you?

Tammy is anything but a tank and so is Gyoky.

There are no ST tanks in modern football.
