Adli says Milan must ‘make the most of’ winning run against Lecce: “A big difference”

By Isak Möller -

Ahead of the game between AC Milan and Lecce, Yacine Adli spoke to the media and shared his thoughts on the task at hand. The Frenchman, who is in the starting XI, will be hoping to impress Stefano Pioli and the fans.

Milan are currently on a six-game winning run and the goal is obviously to make it seven this afternoon. The sun is shining at San Siro and the conditions are thus great, with the Rossoneri fielding a very attacking-minded starting XI.

Speaking to MilanTV ahead of the game, as cited by MilanNews, Adli shared his thoughts on today’s encounter. He also discussed the winning and the Rossoneri’s physical condition heading into the game.

On the winning streak…

“We know that we are in a good moment. We have to make the most of it. Today will be a difficult match like any other. I think Lecce are doing very well with the new coach but we are ready to face the match.”

On the physical condition of the team…

” We are very well: the difference with the beginning of the season is that we have recovered all the players, today there are 25 of us ready to play. It makes a big difference.”

On the dangers compared to the reverse fixture…

“I think it’s always different to play at San Siro. We don’t know what attitude they will take, we must immediately interpret and direct the match where we want to go. ”

The first leg ended 2-2 after Milan lost a two-goal lead and this cannot be repeated today. Playing at San Siro, the Rossoneri are the clear favourites and the pre-match stats attest to this.
