In a summer overhaul which included a host of new signings, one of the most pleasantly surprising for AC Milan has been the acquisition of Fabio Borini.
The winger’s arrival from Sunderland was greeted with a mixed response but he has adapted to life at San Siro well, scoring some important goals already in the 2017/18 campaign.
Roberto De Fanti, the agent of Borini, spoke on live on RMC Sport program ‘Maracana’.
“I’m very happy with the season Borini is having; in the summer his purchase went unnoticed, but people had forgotten that in the last season in Italy, at Roma, he had scored many goals.
“Gattuso, has compacted the group. I would not be surprised if he fought for the Champions League until the end of the season.”
De Fanti was also asked about the interest of Lazio, who were linked with a move last summer.
“Milan were speedy. We had entered into negotiations with Lazio and the player had already spoken with both the director and Inzaghi, then Milan in 24 hours presented an unmissable offer.”
