Ag. Conti: “We see the light again after having lived a real nightmare”

By Oliver Fisher -

Andrea Conti made the AC Milan squad for the game against Chievo on Sunday, his first involvement in six months since his injury.

On September 15 last year, the former Atalanta man ruptured the cruciate ligament of his left knee. Now his agent, Mario Giuffredi, has commented on his recovery and return.

“We are really happy, this is the end of a long negative moment for Andrea, and now we see the light again after having lived a real nightmare,” Giuffredi told TuttoMercatoWeb.

“He’s obviously excited to get back to the field and today [Sunday] he will be on the bench and his dream of writing a piece of history with the Milan shirt will finally be able to pick up where he left off.

“Conti will progressively return to playing with the goal of becoming a Milan player and doing first of all something important with the Rossoneri.

“Milan has behaved in an exemplary way with him, let me tell you, Mirabelli, Fassone, Montella first and Gattuso then – they have all been exemplars with Conti, proving to be a society of real gentlemen.”
