Pablo Bentancurt, the agent of Arsenal’s Lucas Torreira, was interviewed by Calciomercato.com to talk about AC Milan’s interest in his client, as the Rossoneri have reportedly made the Uruguayan their top target for the midfield.
“AC Milan? I don’t know anything about the Rossoneri’s interest, no one has contacted me. I learned of this possibility through the media,” he began.
Torreira left Sampdoria last summer for Arsenal, but could already be on his way back to Italy. Giampaolo, who will be announced by AC Milan in the coming days, managed the player at Sampdoria, which gives the San Siro side an advantage.
“If Giampaolo’s call could be something special for Lucas? Yes, clearly,” he concluded.
In other words, the Rossoneri could be considered in pole position for the €40m man, although it will reportedly be tough to convince Arsenal to let him go.
