Agent drops strong hint over future of €60m man amid Milan, Arsenal and Man Utd links

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of RB Leipzig star Dayot Upamecano seems to have ruled out the chances of a summer move for his client amid links with AC Milan.

It was reported by SportMediaset on Tuesday that Upamecano is part of a six-man wish list that Ralf Rangnick has identified ahead of potentially accepting a role at Milan this summer.

Upamecano reportedly has a €60m release clause and is seemingly attracting interest from the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United after an impressive season in which he has racked up 29 appearances in all competitions for the Bundesliga side.

Bayern Munich have also been strongly linked with a move for the 21-year-old amid reports from Bild that Leipzig are set to lower their demands from €60m to €40m due to the effects of the Coronavirus on football finances.

However, Upamecano’s agent Volker Struth believes that big money moves will be hard this summer, something which a transfer for his client would fall under the category of.

”I don’t believe large transfers will take place this summer,” hetold German outlet Sport 1.

“And I think Upamecano is a player who will demand a large fee. So the statement has already been made.”
