Agent of Daniel Maldini and Lorenzo Colombo speaks on their future at Milan

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of AC Milan duo Lorenzo Colombo and Daniel Maldini has spoken about what the future holds for both of his clients.

Milan made the decision during the summer transfer window to sign Pietro Pellegri on loan from Monaco with an option to buy and to send Colombo out to Serie B side SPAL, where he has six league goals in 15 appearances so far.

They also made the call to keep Daniel Maldini in the squad rather than loaning him out, and he scored his first ever goal for the senior side during a win over Spezia earlier in the campaign.

The agent of the duo – Beppe Rise – was interviewed by Tuttosport in view of the Golden Boy award, a trophy that was won by Roberto Piccoli. He started with praise for Colombo who he believes to be the ‘most ready’ of his young clients.

“Colombo is certainly the most ready. He is owned by Milan and has already scored with the Rossoneri in Europe. At SPAL, where he is on loan this season, he is growing a lot,” he said (via Calciomercato.com).

On Daniel Maldini, he added: “Where do I imagine Daniel Maldini in the future? Always at Milan. The pressure with Paolo? He manages exactly like the other guys. Daniel is lucky enough to have an example like Paolo at home and he is certainly a good help. But Paolo Maldini is very rigorous in separating the role of father from that of AC Milan manager.”

Finally, he also gave an anecdote on the strangest negotiation he was involved in, and it is the well-known Carlos Tevez to Milan deal that never materialised.

“Tevez at Milan, which unfortunately did not conclude. And also De Jong to Manchester City. Which director is most difficult to negotiate with? Adriano Galliani.”
