Agent of Milan defender Laxalt denies possible change of clubs in January

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of AC Milan defender Diego Laxalt has confirmed that there will be no change of clubs during the current transfer window.

Anto Vitiello of MilanNews.it reported on Wednesday that talks being were being held between Milan and the Uruguay international’s representatives, possibly with the potential of an early return.

Ricardo Rodriguez’s imminent move to Fenerbahce means the Rossoneri are expected to dip into the market to secure a new back-up left-back.

Gianluca Di Marzio claimed the talks with Laxalt’s agent were not about an early return but rather to gauge Milan’s feelings on a move to Spain for his client, while Daniele Longo named Real Mallorca, Eibar and Deportivo Alaves as the interested clubs.

Now, Laxalt’s representative – Ariel Krasouski – has clarified the future of his client during an interview with the TuttoMercatoWeb network.

“Diego wants to stay at Torino, he signed a contract and wants to continue his experience with the Granata,” he said.

“In July we will see. Torino has the option to buy, so he will either stay in Turin or return to Milan. But now he won’t go anywhere else for five or six months.

“In football never say never, but Diego’s will is to stay in Turin because it is the destination we chose in the summer because the coach wanted him.”
