Agent offers update on Caldara and opinion on Ibrahimovic to Milan rumours

By Oliver Fisher -

The agent of AC Milan’s Mattia Caldara – Beppe Riso – has insisted that the defender is getting better every day, while he also offered an interested take on the Zlatan Ibrahimovic speculation.

Caldara has not played a game for the Rossoneri since back in April when he suffered ligament damage during the 1-0 Coppa Italia semi-final second leg defeat to Lazio.

The 25-year-old has been hard at work recovering since then and has had game time with the Primavera to aid his transition back into competitive action.

SportMediaset (via MilanNews.it) recently reported that Caldara is finally ready to return to the field, and the defender could even feature against Napoli – although it is unlikely he will start.

Speaking to the microphones of Calciomercato.com on the sidelines of the ‘Serie A Revolution’ Beppe Riso offered updates on both his client and the speculation surrounding Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

“Mattia is ready, he is fine. He tells me that he feels better day after day,” he said.

“Ibrahimovic to Milan? He’s fascinating, he brings a winning mentality. I was talking about him the other day with Cristante, who remembers him from when he was younger and got to the first team.

“He would bring experience, the one thing that would be useful to AC Milan at the moment.”
