Albertini names key for success and highlights Milan’s biggest issue

In recent years, there have been many changes at AC Milan. It’s safe to say – between players, managers and directors – that many have come and gone, ultimately hindering the Rossoneri’s development.

After many years of disappointment, last season provided us with some hope as Milan finished in 5th place, under the guidance of Gennaro Gattuso. The Rossoneri just missed out on the Champions League, finishing one point behind Inter.

However, the level of the team has dropped once again this season, currently sitting in 7th place. In an interview with Sky Italia (via MilanNews.it), club legend Demetrio Albertini was asked about how they can get back to the top.

“Milan returning to the top? It will depend on the Rossoneri management. You need a clear project, it’s not only the transfer market that determines the games.

“You have to work in synergy while in recent years, there has always been the feeling of starting from scratch every year,” he stated.

In the summer, a youth revolution is expected at the club, with Ralf Rangnick in pole position to replace Stefano Pioli. After years of doing the same thing, without any success, we will at least get to see a different strategy.
