Late collapse for the Rossoneri: All the key stats from Milan’s draw against AS Roma

By Euan Burns -

AC Milan looked destined to get all three points against AS Roma as they led 2-0 with just a few minutes to play, but two later goals meant the Rossoneri had to settle for a 2-2 draw.

Pierre Kalulu and Tommaso Pobega were the unlikely goalscorers against the Giallorossi, but Roger Ibanez and Tammy Abraham snatched a point.

Milan have been left licking their wounds, but here are the key stats from the official website

➤ Rafael Leão is one of three players to have already scored at least five goals and provided at least five assists in Serie A this season (Kvaratskhelia and Barella the other two).

➤ Sandro Tonali has been involved in at least one goal in two consecutive Serie A appearances for the first time in the competition.

➤ All of Pierre Kalulu’s three goals in Serie A have come from set pieces (two from corners).

➤ Pierre Kalulu has scored after 25 Serie A games for the first time since 12 March 2022 against Empoli.

➤ Tommaso Pobega has scored in Serie A for the first time since 19 December 2021, 27 appearances since.

➤ Sandro Tonali has been involved in four goals (one goal and three assists) since November; over the same period, only Marcus Tavernier (five), Youcef Belaïli (six) and Martin Ødegaard (six) have contributed more goals among midfielders in Europe’s top-5 leagues.
