Ambrosini explains what Messias will give Milan: “He has quality and hunger”

By Isak Möller -

Junior Messias was brought in by AC Milan on the final day of the transfer window, as they failed to sign Romain Faivre from Brest. Understandably, the fans weren’t too excited about the signing.

It will be up to the Brazilian, who turned 30 in January, to prove the doubters wrong and shine on the pitch. He got nine goals and four assists for Crotone in Serie A last season, so we know that he can perform in the first tier.

In an interview with Gazzetta Dello Sport, as cited by MilanNews, Milan legend Massimo Ambrosini spoke about the signing. He explained why the Rossoneri perhaps shouldn’t be all too disappointed with Messias’ arrival, after all.

“He hasn’t come to change Milan, but he fits into an already consolidated context in which he can do not only well, but also very well. He has quality and hunger,” he stated.

It remains to be seen when Messias will make his debut for Milan, especially since the next three games (Lazio, Liverpool and Juventus) will be very tough. But he will get his chance, that’s for sure.
