AS: Brahim’s future uncertain as Milan have no €22m option – Real Madrid’s stance

By Isak Möller -

Brahim Diaz joined AC Milan back in the summer of 2020 on a season-long loan, which the Rossoneri managed to extend by two years. However, there is no buy-out clause in the contract, per a report.

Italian media has always stated that Milan have a €22m buy-out clause in the contract, while Real Madrid have a €27m buy-back. However, the reports have not been the same in Spanish media and this was highlighted again today.

According to AS, the upcoming months are crucial for Brahim’s career and Real Madrid are watching on with great interest. They like what they have seen so far and it looks like he will return to the Bernabeu side, as Milan have no buy-out option.

The Milan No.10 will be hoping for a strong second half of the season after a first half with some ups and downs. He has been tremendous in some games, but also very poor in others and that needs to change.

    1. Agreed. After his “adjustment” season and full summer training camp in 2023, CDK ought to be given a run as the undisputed CAM in 2023/24. Having Sweet & Sour Diaz around would only continue to muddy the waters.

  1. He’s far more reliable than CDK or any other similarly priced CAM. If he can be bought for $25m then do it and sell CDK. No reason to let a talent like Brahim get away.
