AS: No mention of a buy-back as Milan complete €5m signing of Jimenez

By Isak Möller -

AC Milan have completed the signing of Alex Jimenez from Real Madrid, as was announced by the Rossoneri earlier today. A buy-back clause has been expected, but one report seemingly suggests that might not be the case.

Jimenez joined Milan on a loan with an option to buy last summer and after impressing with the Primavera, as well as the first team, they decided to redeem him. The deal was announced by the Rossoneri earlier today, even if it didn’t exactly come as a surprise.

According to the Spanish outlet AS, Milan have paid around €5m to Real Madrid for the 19-year-old’s services and interestingly enough, there was no mention of a buy-back in the report. It even stated ‘From La Fábrica to Milan with no return ticket’, referring to the full-back.

It will be very interesting to see if this is the case, but the feeling is that the Bernabeu side have included some kind of clause in the transfer. In any case, Jimenez will be an important player for Milan Futuro next season and we will likely see him with the first team as well.

That is, of course, unless a good loan offer arrives that the parties cannot say no to.

  1. That would be huge if there’s no buy-back, the kid has fantastic potential. He didn’t look out of place with the first team last year.

    1. Well… did they make a mistake with Theo? They have so much money and talent they probably don’t care at all. It also took Theo good 2 years playing for Milan to get to the point in which he could actually be a 1st team player in Real. If he’d stay there, he would be just benched all time.

And if they’d like to have him back right now, they would. Probably wouldn’t matter much to them. Sell some offload to United for overpriced >50mil EUR, or anyone to Saudi, and there we go without “spending” a cent.

        1. You lack reading compression. What he means by being bench is that he wouldn’t have grown as much as he had recently. After all he was a bench warmer there. I’m a Madrid fan as well. Just like Odegard Theo made the right call. You really think Odegard would have progress like that at Madrid?

    2. Every club in the world can make mistake but for RM thats not big problem , without theo they can still win la liga & Champion league. If RM want theo back , they can easily buy him 80m euro or waiting till free transfer ( offer him high contract above ACM ) , if you are player like theo and RM came offer you 8m euro nett while ACM only 7m euro nett , which one you choose ? With RM you have high chance win CL while with ACM you have very low chance win CL . With their power finance RM also can spend 500m euro in one transfer window , losing theo or jimenez not much problem for them , they can find and buy player like theo

  2. Guess As sources are worth jack.

🔴⚫️ Alex Jimenez strongly wanted to stay at AC Milan as he’s very happy at the club.

Real Madrid can only buy him back in summer 2025 or 2026 for €9m and €12m respectively.

    Romano to the rescue

    1. yeah and you think the player will be a slave and be forced to go back even if he doesnt want to? are you dumb?

He came here because he had issues in Real Madrid
