CorSera: Big boost for Milan ahead of Spurs clash with return of duo confirmed

By Oliver Fisher -

There were some doubts in the build up to the game against Spurs about whether Olivier Giroud and Brahim Diaz would be available, but those have now vanished.

Corriere della Sera (via MilanNews) writes that there were some worries Giroud might miss the match against Tottenham due to picking up flu-like symptoms while Brahim Diaz was forced to miss the last game against Fiorentina due to a knee sprain.

Luckily both have resolved their respective problems and have therefore recovered for tonight’s match in north London. Not only that, but the French striker and the Spanish attacking midfielder should start from the first minute as per the paper.

It is a big boost for Pioli as he gets back an experienced centre-forward who knows Spurs well given his time with their biggest rivals Arsenal and then Chelsea, while Brahim scored the winner in the first leg and seems to offer more guarantees in the playmaker role at the moment.
