Bild journalist Christian Falk has given his information on a number of different market-related topics concerning AC Milan.
Although the summer transfer window ended less than two months ago, the winter mercato is already fast approaching an Milan with each passing week look more and more like they could potentially put up a title fights.
There are a number of different reports doing the rounds at the moment suggesting areas the club will target and players they have shortlisted to fill gaps in the squad, but MilanNews have spoken to Falk to get his updates on a few of the links.
In recent weeks in Italy there has been talk of Milan’s interest in Marcus Thuram of Borussia Moenchengladbach. Is there really something concrete?
“At the moment I have no information on negotiations between Milan and Borussia for Thuram.”
In the summer Milan really tried for Ozan Kabak but Schalke put up a wall. Can the situation change in January? Are there other clubs on the defender too?
“On Kabak there is Liverpool, at the moment the Reds are considering whether to sink the blow during the winter transfer market.”
During the summer transfer market there was a lot of talk about Dominik Szoboszlai potentially joining Milan, but the Hungarian talent in the end chose to stay in Austria.
After the excellent performances in the Champions League there is a lot of interest in him, can Milan still hope to sign him from Salzburg?
“From what I understand, Milan are now late for the race in Szoboszlai. According to our information, the player will go to RB Leipzig, probably already during the winter transfer market.”

What can you tell us about Hakan Calhanoglu’s renewal negotiations?
“At the moment the player’s entourage is talking to Manchester United, but there is no agreement yet.”
