Charles De Ketelaere is not expected to start in AC Milan’s first league game of the season on Saturday against Udinese, a report claims.
De Ketelaere is without a doubt the big signing of the summer for Milan so far as he arrived in a deal from Club Brugge widely reported to be worth €32m plus bonuses, but he will have to remain patient while waiting to fully enter the mechanisms of Stefano Pioli.
According to Tuttosport (via MilanNews), Brahim Diaz is currently expected to start ahead of the 21-year-old Belgian in the role of attacking midfielder in the game against Udinese at San Siro to kick-off the new Serie A season.
The reasons for this are likely because the Spaniard has more knowledge and familiarity with Pioli’s intricate tactical schemes and important components such as the pressing system, with CDK requiring a bit more time before he is fully up to speed, it seems.
Yes, that is the only reason I can come up with. Better at pressing. But I am not sure that is even the case.

Cause Udinesse is traditionaly hard opponent for us so they want to keep it that way.

It’s a good idea so CDK so how the game flows to adapt to the system of political but they should give him atleast 35minutes of play. That will be fair enough

Between Saladmaker missing and shanking shots and Diaz getting the ball stolen and making bad passes – Pioli starts off the season, not on fire.
Many were hoping Milan would sell Salad and sign a real RW.
Diaz? Just like Salad, Diaz had his chance. Failed miserably. Just like Salad, he hurts more than helps. At least Diaz tries though, Salad just messes up our play. Pioli is just too nice. CDK and Adli are good for AM. Adli is not a winger and I don’t even think he’s good for the double pivot either but maybe he can learn it.

Diaz already had chances upon chances upon chances, too much chances that was not even given to locatelli, the dude failed woefully, even in preseason…..pioli is just gambling with his job, he doesn’t know that a bad start will ruin alot of things, including creating a negative feeling that can sprout to something big
