Tuttosport: A Real Madrid returnee and two other signings – Milan’s January plan

AC Milan are looking to bolster the squad in certain areas, and the idea of Brahim Diaz returning to the club cannot be ruled out.

As reported by Tuttosport (via MN24), the Milan directors are already plotting their moves in view of January. The signing of a back-up to Theo Hernandez and the addition of deputy to Youssouf Fofana in the midfield are the main targets.

However, the arrival of someone who can fill the playmaker role is also possible. Christian Pulisic has been used down the middle more this season and he also scored yesterday against Slovan Bratislava in that role, but when Ruben Loftus-Cheek fills in the attack suffers.

The main idea in this sense leads to the return of Brahim Diaz. An operation with Real Madrid could take the former of another loan deal – what would be his third separate loan to the club – and in this sense the contacts have already started.

The Spaniard would like to return to Milan but the obstacle is represented by Los Blancos, who at the moment are only open to the idea of a permanent transfer. It must be remembered that despite the recent links, Carlo Ancelotti suggested that the attacking midfielder will be going nowhere.

    1. Agree. For Diaz to fit on the list, someone else needs to leave. Not the case with Maldini who will occupy an academy trained slot.

      Win win.

  1. When the team’s major shortcoming is the back line, shouldn’t all euros be going to the back line? Midfield is not the issue.

  2. I would personally let Pulisic stay in the cam role and then bring in beradi who seems to begin to come up in gear again after 1 goal and six assists in 6 games over 352 minutes. Yes I know its in Serie B but he has already proven himself consistently over the last decade in Serie A and probably would come very cheap. He would tick off the italian quota and if anything we could always send Chukwueze packing in the summer if he doesnt start to perform better and then either buy an extra right wing in the summer or promote a young player at that point and let beradi mentor that player. The guy brings experience and leadership qualities as well so for me that would be a win win situation from our perspective.

    1. So, I like Berardi and I think we could use an upgrade over Chukwueze, BUT I also think Puli is better out wide, whether it’s on the left or right. His production goes down a little bit when he’s in the middle. Keep Puli wide and bring in a CAM, or promote from within as some have suggested, or whatever. Point is keep Puli wide.

      1. stats wise then Pulisic performs pretty much the same wherever he is fielded so I’d still go for Beradi if he is available for around ten mil.
I wouldn’t mind bringing back Maldini either as suggested above but that will happen the soonest in the summer but I seriously doubt that will actually happen.

  3. Why are these articles about Brahim Diaz popping up?
Milan has no need of a player like Brahim and he would be basically swapping Real Madrid bench for Milan’s.

  4. Why not bring back Dani Maldini and Adli too. Spend money on the pos we need. You can have two good additions for the CAM pos so you can try and play morata as ST . And finish the squad with CDM if benna can’t you can totally focus on Ricci and then LB like Parisi and finish with the renewals faster

  5. How about Nico Paz, he younger currently better and he’s showed he doesn’t need a world class team around him to perform like a world class player

  6. why we desperately need CAM/SS just after we sold them all (CDK Malda Aldi & Brahim)
is fonseca & board clowns don’t have a clue or what???

  7. Never liked diaz and never will..he’s puny and a nice little bodyslam has mi flying 2m away from the ball.

We shouldn’t be playing 4231 anyway. All our midfielders are mezzalas except one b2b fofana. We need a DM and use those mezzalas as mezzalas. It’s that fûcking simple.
Mezzalas can’t play in pivots and AM. Any kid who plays fifa knows that ffs.

  8. Personally we should sell okafor jovic return Abraham sell rlc bring back Dani Maldini and Adli. Promote Liberali keep colombo behind morata keep camarda in the first team buy ricci buy Parisi sell Calabria sell bennacer

  9. Has anyone watched parisi play? Personally I’ve not, but I know he’s back up for fiorentina. Surely terraciano is the same standard… Going to have to watch a few matches plus id like to see how adli is doing. Other fans seem to shout his name whenever we talk about a lb. Just interested if people know what they’re talking about or just shouting his name. Maybe a few years ago he was a promising player..

    1. I haven’t either so I can’t weigh in on Parisi. I’m in the same boat as you, hope the others are right and so far they’ve been so wrong on many occasions lol 😆 (Pav comes to mind). I’ll have to go watch some games too.

  10. Our best line up is 4-2-3-1 now Moncada must cover the areas now Acmilan should swap Okafor for Armand lauriente then we need to swap Loftus cheek to bring dorgu then Acmilan should bring either kulvshevki or Brahim Diaz for no 10 because is our engine room the we bring in Ricci now if Acmilan can resolve this we will become deadly in serie A and champions league then either benercer or Reijnder will support Brahim Diaz as deputy in attacking midfield
    Now leao/Armand lauriente
    Brahim Diaz / benercer
    Pulisic/dorgu
    Morata/ Tammy Abraham
    M.maignan
    Emerson,Thiaw, Gabbia, Hernandez
    Reijnder,Musah
    Pulisic, Diaz/benercer,leao/lauriente
    Morata
