Brahim jokes Ibrahimovic has ‘made my life easier’ as ‘I must pass to him’

Brahim Diaz struggled to impose himself during his second season at AC Milan, registering just four goals and four assists. He is optimistic for next season, though, and has praised the help of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Spaniard still has one year left on his loan and Milan will make a decision on the future next summer. The upcoming season, therefore, could be very important for the No.10 who needs to show his best side.

Interviewed by Marca, as cited by MilanNews, Diaz was asked about the importance of Ibrahimovic and joked he has made things easier because ‘I must pass to him’. He also, once again, highlighted that he’s like a father to him.

“Ibrahimovic is my father’s age, but he still makes a difference. For me, he’s like a father in the locker room, he has made my life easier because when I have the ball, I must pass to him. Otherwise he gets angry.

“He’s an incredible player, with great charisma and who loves to win, he likes to work in training and he also passes it on to others. He makes all players better because he pushes you to always give the best,” he concluded.

Hopefully, Diaz can step up next season and show the qualities we saw at the start of this past season, as well as towards the end of the 2020/21 season. Otherwise, he might not be redeemed by the Rossoneri.
