AC Milan and Inter will renew hostilities in the Middle East tomorrow as they face off in the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia.
Both sides come into the game in a delicate moment as Napoli continue to run away with the league, but with a derby being played for a trophy for what will be the first time in over a decade, there is plenty of motivation to try win bragging rights.
On the eve of the Supercoppa game against Inter, Davide Calabria spoke to Milan TV about what the game means to the players.
“Winning a trophy is always important, it gives you confidence and encourages you to always do better. We have prepared well, we will give everything we have. We are here to win,” he said.
On the Supercoppa win in 2016: “It was another Milan. It would be important to win the Supercoppa again. We prepared well, it’s exciting and very important to play this match.”
On the derby: “It will be a great match. They have many important players. It will be a competitive derby, I expect a great challenge.”
