Cardinale congratulates Inter on dominating Milan in Champions League tie

Inter headed into the second leg of the Champions League semi-final with a 2-0 lead over AC Milan and comfortably asserted their superiority. Rossoneri owner Gerry Cardinale congratulated the rivals after the game.

Milan had a mountain to climb this evening and needed a miracle, frankly, which they never got. Inter had excellent control of the game from start to finish and also added a goal to their tally towards the end.

After tonight’s game, Milan owner Gerry Cardinale sent a message to Inter (via SempreMilan): “On behalf of Milan, I want to congratulate the entire Inter team and their fans for two well-played games. We wish them all the best for the final in Istanbul,” he said.

It’s a message that won’t go down too well with the Milan fans, even if it’s a nice gesture fair play-wise. Cardinale has been heavily criticised for the lack of investment since he took over the club and it remains to be seen what will happen in the summer, with major changes needed.

  1. Instead of congratulating inter, INVEST THE FKING MONEY. You don’t know this club..
You refuse to invest in the winter transfer window.. we’ll see how much budget you gave in the summer
And i hope maldini massara use the money WISELY on midfielder, right winger, striker and a backup left back

    1. with the money we get, if we are lucky, like 80 mill. We can get two starters with potential in those positions.

  2. Milan will have 50 million if sell 50 million.

Problem is Maldini Massara and whole scout department, they can’t find gambling the young cheap and perspective players who will affect Milan game immediately.

We will have same result in serie a next year just now without champions league.

    1. Actually, he is a show man. He saw how much money generated Inter vs Milan in second game from ticket sale, so he expect Milan can reach same amount soon. He wants strong league and revenue tickets on same level like premier league. He don’t care about inter Milan rivaling for century.

      1. So you hating that he want to increase the club’s revenues and want to make the league as attractive as the Prem thereby getting more money for not only out club but all clubs in Serie A? Make that make sense..you fans are nuts

  3. We must be completely honest. Let’s say we didn’t buy CDK and would’ve had 35mln to spend instead, Inter has still got the better squad. Their strikers are far superior to ours and their nr 10 and their defence. Leao, Tonali, Theo, Maignan are great players. Then there is Bennacer and Tomori which are not bad and we have some promising players, but that doesn’t cut it. Investments must be made especially for the striker(s), nr 10, RW and RB. And also in midfield. I don’t think 50mln would cut it in our case. Maybe 150mln would suffice, and quite frankly, when tying down a player like Leao which is a super winger, we need to build around that, not hoping that he can do it all by himself.

    1. Thank you. This was literally my point in another article. We simply dont have the same quality as Inter from top to bottom. They have accumulated spending over a long period of time to reach where they are.

  4. He knows nothing of the Milan fan base and the tradition of the Rossoneri, saw money that Elliot made and said, “I can do that as well” go back to the colonies.
