Former AC Milan forward Antonio Cassano, in an interview Bobo Vieri’s Twitch channel, made his thoughts known on Stefano Pioli who has resurrected the Rossoneri into Serie A challengers once again.
Stefano Pioli has overseen a positive season at the helm of Milan, even after his side handed the trophy over to their city rivals Inter following a string of disappointing results after the new year.
Cassano regularly appears on Vieri’s Twitch channel with his insights and has lauded the Rossoneri manager this time around. As cited by Football Italia, he only had good things to say about the former Fiorentina manager
“Pioli had an extraordinary year and a half at Milan, he has done really well and is loved by everyone from Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the youth products, getting strong results,” he began.
Cassano reflected on his previous meeting with Pioli and cited his humbleness as a significant factor. This has been notable above all during his press conferences since he arrived at Milan, always taking everything very seriously.
“I met Pioli, I can say he deserves every success. He is humble, a good coach and I hope he achieves his objectives. He is one of the few genuinely good people in the world of football,” he concluded
