Franck Kessie’s contract will expire next summer and he’s yet to sign a renewal with AC Milan. Therefore, since he could leave in January or for free after the season, the Rossoneri might have to start looking for a midfielder.
The situation is far from ideal for Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara who have been working on the renewal for about a year now. The talks have seemingly hit a stalemate and the directors have started to look around for options on the market.
According to Niccolo Ceccarini, in his latest piece for TMW, Milan are keeping an eye on Atletico Madrid midfielder Hector Herrera. Since joining on a free transfer from Porto, he hasn’t played loads and will leave the club at the end of the season.
The Rossoneri, in other words, could get him for free a few years after being linked with him when he was at Porto. The hypothesis is concrete, per the report, but one should add that the Mexican international will turn 32 in April of next year.

Rubbish player 32 years I don’t understand maldini
It is rubbish when your losing Kessie 24yrs for a 32year old at the end of career
Makes no sense and bad investment, old and slow
32 isnt super old.. but yeah it could be younger..
I don’t understand you. Please read the news again
A donkey , who makes up these stories ?
I trust Maldini and Massara,
If you want all young players, why dont use all primavera squad to play in serie a? Get rid of ibra/giroud and play pellegri instead.
Age, experience and wisdom is also important in football on the field. It is totally different with PES or FIFA.
Im not understand you all, how can you can be idiot because a rumour?? Is that have an officially statement from the management?? Don’t be idiot pls! Lol
Too old man.We already have Giroud and Ibra in 30s.Get a younger player..like Kamara from Marseille.
We don’t need another holding midfielder for Pete’s sake.
I don’t know what this management guys take! Cheap weed!!!
We have just enough to cover that position.
Why not look at signing a proper AMF and A quality striker like Vlahovic.
These Milan Management guys are a joke
Sign Kamara
Bravo!!!Bravo!!! Milan.
