Christian Vieri blasts Milan CEO Gazidis by branding him a ‘coward’ amid Boban row

By Oliver Fisher -

Former AC Milan and Inter striker Christian Vieri has sided firmly with Zvonomir Boban amid his public row with CEO Ivan Gazidis.

The Rossoneri are, quite frankly, in utter turmoil at the moment. Boban is set to be sacked after he spoke out regarding Gazidis’ decision to go behind the backs of the management and agree a deal with Ralf Rangnick for next season.

During the Tiki Taka programme on Canale 5, Christian Vieri sided with Boban regarding his decision to speak out against the former Arsenal chief, attacking Gazidis in the process.

“Gazidis has done a cowardly thing. Boban is not a puppet, he has personality and says things at face value. He said what he had to say,” he said.

“Gazidis has nothing to do with the technical area, he does other things. There are Maldini and Zvone in the technical area. If one is a coward, it is normal for the other not to keep quiet.”

The full video can be found on the SportMediaset website. In other news, Tuttosport are reporting Milan boss Stefano Pioli could resign from his position after Wednesday’s game against Juventus due to the negative atmosphere and infighting at the club, plus the imminent arrival of Rangnick.
