Gigio Donnarumma, unlike many of his teammates, has started this season very well. The goalkeeper certainly can’t be blamed for AC Milan’s poor start to this season, as he has shown his qualities in several games already.
Then again, the defence will have to improve, as Donnarumma simply has been forced to face too many shots. Against Parma, there was a huge improvement, as the Rossoneri conceded zero shots on target during the entire game.
Meanwhile, the Milan directors are planning for the future, which includes the young goalkeeper. However, the current deal expires in 2021, meaning they will have to extend it soon. According to Calciomercato.com, they have a plan in mind.
In fact, per the report, they have already scheduled a meeting with the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, which will take place in the spring. Hopefully, they can lock Donnarumma down, as he is very important for the team.
