Despite recent interest from Inter, AC Milan are said to be ahead of the competition in their talks to sign Italian talent, Stefano Sensi.
The 23-year-old midfielder impressed many last season by being a key asset for the Sassuolo team in Serie A. He has captured the attention of many big clubs in Italy and has earned a place in the national team in the process.
According to Calciomercato, Milan are ahead in the race to sign Sensi, as they have been constant contact with the club over a possible deal. Paolo Maldini intends to close a loan deal which includes a €15m buy-out option, while Sassuolo want €20m.
Sensi and his agent have already agreed on personal terms with the Rossoneri and a five-year deal is ready for the midfielder. However, Inter have recently entered the race as they have reportedly inquired about the player multiple times.
While Sensi is still an idea for Inter, Milan are ready to strike a deal and are unlikely to lose out on the player if they intend to move forward with their plan.
