After completing the signing of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, AC Milan will now shift focus to other areas that need improving, one of which is the midfield. By the looks of it, they are searching for an experienced regista on the market.
As Calciomercato.com highlights, the Rossoneri have been linked with Nemanja Matic, whose contract with Manchester United expires in the summer. In other words, the Serbian midfielder is a hot name on the transfer market.
However, as the report continues, sources close to Milan assure that there is no interest in the 31-year-old. Most likely, the player’s age is the main drawback for the Rossoneri, as they seemingly won’t sign players over 30, bar Ibrahimovic of course.
Therefore, it remains to be seen if they will make a signing for the midfield, or if they will focus on the defence and offloading a few players instead. In any case, the January window is just around the corner, and Milan are preparing themselves.
