CM: AC Milan’s strategy for Demiral in January revealed

By Isak Möller -

After a poor start to the season, Milan are looking to reinforce the squad in January. One of the departments that they are working on is the defence, set on bringing in a centre-back during the transfer window.

According to Calciomercato.com, Merih Demiral remains to dream for the Rossoneri leadership. The Turkish defender has played just 90 minutes with Juventus this season, failing to impress Maurizio Sarri, which could result in a January move.

However, as the report continues, Juventus are asking for €35-40m for the 21-year-old, having signed him from Sassuolo for €28m in the summer. In other words, they want to make a capital gain on a potential sale.

Milan intend to initiate contacts with the Bianconeri to understand if there is any room for negotiation. Per the report, they could try to open negotiations on a loan basis, which would include either an option or an obligation to buy.
