CM: Bakayoko proposed to Milan during meeting – how much Chelsea want

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a midfielder on the market as Soualiho Meite has returned to Torino. In addition, Ismael Bennacer and Franck Kessie will take part in the AFCONs next year, meaning a signing is well-needed.

During their meeting with the Firs1 agency, as reported by Calciomercato.com, a familiar name was proposed to the Rossoneri: Tiemoue Bakayoko. The Frenchman didn’t do enough to convince Napoli and is now looking for a new club.

His contract with Chelsea will expire in 2022 and he now wants to make the right choice for his career. Paolo Maldini took note of the possibility but didn’t do more than ask for general information, seemingly focused on other targets.

Furthermore, Chelsea would like to monetise the departure as much as possible and are thus asking for €15-20m. This is more than the Rossoneri are willing to invest in the midfield, so for now the deal isn’t possible.

  1. “This (15-20M) is more than the Rossoneri are willing to invest in the midfield, so for now the deal isn’t possible.” – then why are we wasting time going after Kamara??? Lol. And perhaps we should have just signed Konè in January for 10m? Technically we don’t have Tonali any longer so we need someone…sad
