AC Milan are searching the transfer market for potential reinforcements in January. Even though the fans would like to see them signed some experienced players, they have also set their sights on a few youngsters.
According to Calciomercato.com’s Daniele Longo, the Rossoneri are keeping tabs on Barcelona’s 21-year-old Carles Alena, along with Tottenham. The latter’s manager is keen on the player, but Milan’s interest shouldn’t be underestimated.
Barcelona have told Alena’s agent that they would consider accepting a dry loan in January, per the report. In fact, they have no intention of letting the midfielder leave on a permanent deal, as they see him as an option for the future.
Milan have taken note of the Catalan side’s response and are currently making their evaluations on the deal. As the report concludes, Tottenham are at the same stage and it could end up being a battle between the two sides in January.
