Gigio Donnarumma is one of the few players, perhaps the only one, that can hold his head high after Milan’s defeat away at Spezia last night. Once again, he showed why the Rossoneri must renew his contract.
As highlighted by Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com, the goalkeeper made a fantastic save on Riccardo Saponara that unfortunately was overshadowed by the outcome of the day. Having said that, it’s clear that he’s one of the best in the world.
And as if we needed to point it out, that’s why he really deserves a contract renewal. Mino Raiola, his agent, has hinted that the Rossoneri can’t take anything for granted with regards to the future, bar a desire to remain at the club.
In football, and especially when it comes to Raiola, nothing is done before the papers have been signed. Milan know this well and will do everything in their power to keep Donnarumma beyond this season.
