MN: Giampaolo flashbacks for Milan as they fail to register a single shot on target

By Isak Möller -

Milan had a very tough game last night as Spezia got everything right in their game plan, completely dominating the Rossoneri from start to finish. A deserved win for the home side, in other words, but very tough to swallow.

Ahead of the clash, Spezia – who were promoted to Serie A ahead of this season- were in 17th place in the league standings. There were no doubts about who was the favourite to win, and yet the game was so one-sided.

As highlighted by MilanNews, the game was a disaster in many ways but above all in the attacking phase. In fact, for the first time since August 2019, Milan failed to register a single shot on target. Marco Giampaolo flashbacks, in other words.

The former Rossoneri manager was in charge of the team back then and it was in the first round of the 2019/20 season, when they lost 1-0 to Udinese. Hopefully, Stefano Pioli’s men will bounce back as soon as possible.
