CM: Giroud wants to convince Milan but start against Verona is unlikely

Olivier Giroud has recovered from the back injury that has been causing him problems ever since the start of the season. However, he will have to wait a bit to play from the first minute.

As reported by Calciomercato.com, Stefano Pioli is expected to place Giroud on the bench for the game against Hellas Verona this weekend. The Frenchman will, however, be ready to enter the clash if the need is there.

The competition is tough, there is no doubt about it, as Brahim Diaz, Rafael Leao and Ante Rebic all have started the season nicely. Giroud is still at two goals and they were both scored against Cagliari, then Covid struck and started the negative spell.

Both Covid and the back injury has now been overcome by Giroud, who will be hoping to stay fit for the remainder of the season. He wants to convince Milan that he deserves to be there and if he can succeed, he will be very important.
