CM: Kessie yet to decide next club despite Barca links but Milan exit is clear

By Isak Möller -

Franck Kessie’s contract will expire at the end of the season and he has decided to leave AC Milan. As the Rossoneri will face Sampdoria today (at 12:30 CET), he will be on the bench.

It could be a signal from Stefano Pioli, but it’s more likely that he wants to give Kessie some rest after two demanding games (Inter and Lazio). Despite being exit-bound, the midfielder still has great respect for the manager.

According to Calciomercato.com, Inter are interested in Kessie’s services but after the first talks, they understood it’s not an easy operation. Barcelona, meanwhile, are gaining traction and the player seems to like that option.

The former Atalanta man will make a decision within the next month, per the report, but it’s clear that he will leave Milan. He also has suitors in Premier League and that’s why, for now, it cannot be said that a Barcelona move is done.

  1. Please bench him the rest of the season. Nothing against his choice to leave, but the team suffers and with the first place in sight – ALL focus is needed.

    1. Well wouldnt it be karma if he gets a long term injury in the last match of the season and then ends up in a situation where milan wont renew and he having troubles finding a new club as he will be out for the next year or something and when succeeding then even at a highly reduced salary compared to his current excessive demands 😀
He dug his own grave with his promises of loyalty and his following reluctance to follow throughwhile keeping us gfor fools.
