Gerry Cardinale, the CEO of RedBird Capital, will be in Milan this week to sign the papers for the takeover of AC Milan. He will also meet with the current technical director Paolo Maldini to discuss the future.
Maldini and Ricky Massara have been brought to a halt due to the takeover negotiations, and now they want clarity on the future. Furthermore, both of them will expire at the end of June, meaning they also need to renew their deals.
As said, Cardinale will be in Milan this week and a meeting with Maldini has been scheduled to discuss the project. Calciomercato.com highlight that it’s the ‘most important week’ as several matters will be decided from it.
For example, whether to move forward or break the negotiations for Sven Botman and Renato Sanches will be decided. So to the transfer budget for the summer, as well as the policies on the salaries/renewals for the future. In short, it’s a meeting that will bring clarity but also could change a lot.
I’m certain it will all sort it out in the best of ways. No reason at all to be pessimistic. We’re coming from a brilhan and unexpected conquest, a new owner and big investor is coming and future looks bright. Keep the faith and the calm, fellow milanisti.
