CM: Maldini and Massara on the hunt for a third striker – the names from Icardi to Jovic

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are on the hunt for a third striker who can compliment the imminent arrival of Olivier Giroud, according to a report.

Calciomercato.com writes how there are doubts about the physical condition of Zlatan Ibrahimovic which is why Maldini and Massara are studying the possibility of signing a third centre-forward who would offer more guarantees in terms of the amount of games they are able to play.

The report also puts forward a number of targets including Real Madrid’s Luka Jovic, who has returned after his loan at Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as Andrea Belotti of Torino whose contract is expiring in 2022.

Then there is also the young Giacomo Raspadori of Sassuolo and the latest idea Kalajdzic of Stuttgart. The name of Mauro Icardi is even mentioned as he is now on the fringes of PSG’s plans. The priority, however, remains Giroud and Milan want to close the deal soon.
