CM: Maldini badly wants Arsenal playmaker target – contacts underway with agent and Salzburg

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan technical director Paolo Maldini has not given up on the idea of signing Dominik Szoboszlai from Red Bull Salzburg, a report claims.

La Gazzetta dello Sport (via MilanLive) reported earlier this week that the 20-year-old will likely leave the Austrian club as early as January 2021, and that another attempt to sign him by Milan cannot be excluded after two previous negotiations.

Hungarian outlet Index then claimed that that Szoboszlai’s agent Esterházy – who owns EM Sports Consulting Kft – was at a Forbes event in Hungary this week and discussed interest in his client, confirming Arsenal and Milan are both in the running.

According to the latest from Calciomercato.com, Milan believe that Szoboszlai is a serious talent ready to take flight with a move to a top club.

As a result, Paolo Maldini still has the desire to bring him to Milan, and the outlet confirms that contacts are ongoing with his agency and with Red Bull Salzburg.
