CM: Milan could turn to Real Madrid man as renewal is complicated – the situation

By Isak Möller -

Milan are looking for a right-winger to strengthen their squad ahead of next season, which could include Champions League football for the Rossoneri. There’s still a long way to go, but the extra budget could be important.

Alexis Saelemaekers, who arrived from Anderlecht in January of last year, has turned out to be a great fit for Stefano Pioli’s system on the right flank. Therefore, as Calciomercato.com report, Milan are looking for another dynamic player.

One that is strong in one-on-one situations but also can do a job when the team isn’t in possession. That is why Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara have slowed down their pursuit of Marseille’s Florian Thauvin, whose contract will expire in the summer.

Another potential free signing, as the report continues, could be Lucas Vazquez from Real Madrid. The 30-year-old’s renewal with the Bernabeu side is complicated for many reasons and Milan could perhaps consider making a move.

He’s a good profile for the Rossoneri as he works very hard in both phases of the game, but the economic side of things might make a move to difficult. On a free transfer, though, a higher salary is always possible.
