CM: Milan expected to consider permanent sale of Adli this summer

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan are likely to consider offers that come in for Yacine Adli and not just loan deals, according to journalist Daniele Longo.

Despite playing only 114 minutes in the first part of the season with just one start to his name, Adli did not leave the Rossoneri during the recent January transfer window although there were rumours of interest from Serie A and Ligue 1.

What seemed apparent is that the former Bordeaux man is way down the pecking order in various positions at the moment as Stefano Pioli prefers Charles De Ketelaere, Brahim Diaz and even Rade Krunic in the role of playmaker.

Radio Rossonera did an interview with Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com about a number of topics such as the strategy and potential targets ahead of the summer, and he was asked about the future of Adli.

“I’m not so convinced that the Rossoneri are thinking only of a loan solution for Adli. If an interesting offer arrives outright they will probably consider it. Not because the player was rejected, but because it seems clear to me that Pioli doesn’t like Adli. Vranckx and Dest will not be bought permanently,” he said.

  1. I hope this only some b..s..hit speculation, cause this is the kind of thing that doesn’t make sense, rationally speaking. So you sign a player, doesn’t give him opportunities to show his football and them sell the guy in next season? This is not sport management, the name of this game is money laundering.

  2. Milan transfer politics is clear: buy cheap perspective player to become valuable first team player. All name mentioned above are not worthy for Milan now. Ho knows how they gonna grow in another club. Like Locatelli. Vranckx, Dest and Adli doesn’t have impact in the club, no matter how many minutes did they get.
Time equals money, so Milan in future must find best perspective youngsters, to keep result. We can see what happens when result stop. Big crisis which finally will affect much more financial club situation.
So bottom line is, Milan doesn’t need to wait players like Leao, Tonali, etc, anymore because those players eventually will ask bigger money, and market is too big with summer or winter transfers possibilities- so every year selling players with bad impact and investing in new arrival is something that’s needs to be done.

  3. So you spend 12m on a player that you didn’t gave him a chance to prove himself and you are gonna sell him right away? Nice management we have here at AC Milan 👍 also the player was bought permanently mr longo

  4. Also this just looks very bad for the management of the team just saying. And more that this proves that the coach prolly don’t have a talk/opinion for who the team buy or loan and that just bad

    1. First of all we paid 8.5 mil for adli.
Secondly besides of in england its actually not that common that coaches has a great say in transfers. There are exceptions of course but overall its not a bad thing as the clubs can plan long term whereas there are no guarantees that coaches will stay for the long run.

  5. Milanelo you can’t just sell and buy every year! Normally a team buys to upgrade, not for the sake of buying! If u are always selling your players and buying new ones, you will always be starting from step one, u would have to gel those new faces in the team and Milan’s project would stall …
I don’t think Milan will sell Adli, I’m sure that Maldini knew what he was buying and he did see something in Adli, I think they will loan him to a Serie A team!
Next year Milan should try to get Miranchuk from Atalanta!

    1. “Milanelo you can’t just sell and buy every year!”

Followed by “Next year Milan should try to get Miranchuk from Atalanta!”
      Wait what? 😂😂😭😭😭😂😂

  6. Before ppl get their panties in a wad. This could simply be fabricated. However, some of Adli’s stats that are key for mids aren’t that good (some alwer the worst in Europe) even before he came to Milan so maybe it could be better to offload him sooner than later.

  7. Sell for what?? LOL. He hasn’t played. His value cannot increase if he doesn’t play. Insane. We bought at 10M and what are we gonna sell for 2M?? Ya because that will buy us a great player🤪. How Embarassing. Give the kid a chance to play before you decide he’s trash. Patrick Viera, Edgar Davids spark any regrets? Lol. Point is how can you sell when you don’t even know what you have and what value do you realistically think your gonna get for such a player? We will sell for a LOSS. It’s asinine. This kid has tremendous talent. We spend a year developing him only to sell him for a loss? Ya sound logic. Disgrace. Rather us sell the lumbering overrated player Poegba to Torino if we need to generate cash. Horrible

    1. His value cannot increase if he doesn’t play. We bought him for 10M and he sits the bench and you really think a team will pay us 15M?? LOL. Dream another dream

  8. Most of you are writing nonsense. Milan can’t sell Adli for 15M because he isn’t good enough, he could have played 40 matches and he wouldn’t be worth that. Did you really watch him play? Reminds me of that guy Mansour, really good but not for football, more like futsal player…they should still loan him, maybe to a club that will play him at DM so he might develop tactical awareness…
