CM: Milan offer up Origi in bid to land €42m West Ham forward – the response

By Oliver Fisher -

One of the main objectives for the AC Milan management this summer is to sign a new centre-forward, and an exchange deal was offered to West Ham.

According to Calciomercato.com, Milan are exploring various options for the No.9 position and Gianluca Scamacca is a profile that Stefano Pioli is a fan of in particular, while Jose Mourinho wants him at Roma too.

Milan have had several contacts with West Ham in recent days to try to enter into negotiations for Scamacca. CEO Giorgio Furlani tried to offer Divock Origi to the Hammers to try and lower the cash sum that might be required.

However, West Ham said no because they are not interested in the Belgian and thus there are not the conditions at present for the Rossoneri to strike an agreement.

Not only that, but West Ham would like to keep Scamacca in the squad for next season having spent €36m plus €6m in bonuses on him, so the idea of a loan is not even contemplated as a hypothesis.
