CM: Milan probe over Lovren availability; price tag set by Liverpool

By Oliver Fisher -

AC Milan had a meeting with the agent of Dejan Lovren on Friday as they continue to work towards a possible deal for the Liverpool defender.

We recently learned that a centre-back is one of the key areas that Marco Giampaolo wants the club to address, while Gianluca Di Mazio revealed that an ‘important budget’ has been allocated to sign a top player in that position.

Links with Liverpool’s Lovren persist, and Calciomercato.com claims that the player’s representative – Beppe Riso – was at Casa Milan on Friday to discuss the future of Lovren amongst others.

Paolo Maldini, Zvonomir Boban and Ricky Massara ‘probed the availability of the Croatian defender’ who is expected to leave Anfield this summer.

Jurgen Klopp’s side have apparently set an asking price of around €15-20million for the Champions League winner, who has fallen behind Joel Matip and Joe Gomez in the order of preference to be Virgil van Dijk’s defensive partner.

  1. Lovren never met this Risso guy. This man is for sure not his agent. Press talking non-sense. His agent is Hootan Ahmedi.
